"To Protect and Serve"

You all know the slogan, it's very familiar!!! It is the slogan of all of our police service men and women across the U.S. --- "To Protect & Serve." But are all of our police officers living up to their oath of honor? Well of course not, many of our police officers are abusing their power and it has gotten outrageous.
We have all witnessed police attacks via television over the years, but these are only the lucky few that were captured on video. The latest example of the police's abuse of power was the beating of transexual, Duanna Johnson at a Memphis police station. This was not only a case of police brutality but a hate crime by an officer of one of our countries' law enforcement teams. If cops are allowed to toss quadriplegics like Brian Sterner from their wheelchair (Florida) or shoot unarmed men like Sean Bell over fifty times (New York), then what will they do next? There's a big difference between enforcing the law and the use of excessive force.
I have witnessed several occurrences over the years of officers' abusing their power and I have been a victim of their works. But what happens when you are falsely arrested or rightly arrested and beaten by officers while under arrest? Nothing in most cases, because of the immunity police are granted or in my view---'a cop out for wrong doing'. But before all victims of police dishonor - lawyer up, I advise proper authorities to take a closer look at the works of their officers before racial profiling, the use of excessive force, illegal searches, and the use of derogatory and degrading language begin to cost.
