We live in a country with so many contradicting laws that it is ridiculous, but today I am going to start with the "Freedom of Speech." Why is it that a lady was arrested for using the F-Word in Walmart or what is "ridiculing a police officer?" We have some of the most absurd laws. We live in a country where police officers are allowed to abuse their power daily, by simply going 70 mph in a 45 mph zone when there isn't an emergency. Or on the other hand, they're allowed to curse and belittle you, but you will be arrested for responding--"disrepecting a police officer." It's quite hilarious that the justice system would allow officers to arrest someone for such nonsense. These are charges that do nothing more than waste paperwork, court time, labor, and tax payers' money.
Freedom of Speech---more like watch your mouth!!!

Lately everywhere you look from the instructions inside a new product to grocery products have the Spanish and English versions printed. This is America where the English language has been our foundation forever. Whether it's slang, country, or city, pronounced "they" or "dey", it's all English. If foreigners are going to be allowed to live in our country, work in our country, and operate businesses in our country then the English language should be an obligation. I should not go to a store owned by Chinese and they begin speaking in Chinese or I shouldn't be in a Mexican restaurant and the workers are speaking in Spanish. This is America people and if we are going to welcome legal immigrants then taxes, literacy, and language should be top priority as it is for all American citizens. There shouldn't be any substitutions to accomodate people who desire to live here, because there are already too many welcoming mats for immigrants that are unfair to American citizens.

The unemployment rate continues to rise and employers' continue to make background checks a condition of employment.
Why would you not hire someone with a record?
This individual could possibly be your most productive and reliable employee, but instead you hire the individual without a record and they quit the job in a month. Everyone makes mistakes and the only thing that distinguishes most of the people in the world is that those with the charges got caught and those without them, didn't get caught. Denying someone of a job when their charge is old or irrelevant to the job's skill requirement is totally insane. America says that everyone should make an honest day's pay, but it should say that everyone should be given the chance to make an honest day's pay. We live in a judgemental world from judging on race and sexuality to criminal records. Jobs are based on skill record not criminal record, though a pedafile shouldn't work with children and an embezzeler shouldn't work at a bank, an embezzeler shouldn't be denied a job as a bus driver because of an embezzelment charge. This is simply not logical and needs to change.
