Happy New Year & Welcome Back to Urban Train!!! Lets begin by introducing UrbanTrain in 2012 as an Entertainment Blog which will allow you to get up close and personal with some rising recording artists, models, djs, producers, and alike in the world of Entertainment. You were introduced to T.I.A. Entertainment in 2011 and it will get more in depth in 2012 with the entire focus of this blog being used to blast ENTERTAINMENT on an INDIE level!

Jackson State University Freshman Wins 2011 National Yo-Yo Championship

Harold Owens III is an 18-year-old freshman from Carmel, Indiana majoring in Chemistry at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. Owens also became the 2011 U.S. National Yo-Yo Champion after his first time competing in the U.S. National Yo-Yo Contest. The competition was held in Chico, CA.

Mississippi indie label and entertainment company, T.I.A. Entertainment is complimenting futuristic sounds with profanity limited metaphors that are capturing the attention of many. "Indie Artists Are Making Big Moves"

The music industry has taken a downward turn with the economy in the respect to album sales, but is it the economy or the similarities in the sounds. Many music lovers have turned to the sounds of indie artists for their music pleasure. Whether the genre is country or hip hop, indie artists and indie record labels are on the rise. Each genre is bringing fresh faces and fresh sounds to the spotlight. Many sites have become a gateway for indie artists to get their music streaming around the globe. Myspace, youtube, blackplanet, and many other sites have their sites filled with options to accompany some of the promotional needs of indie artists from video uploading to music uploading.

"Message in Hip Hop"

Day after day, we see our economy sinking, war continuing to end the lives of United States' citizens, and rapid foreclosure rates. We are speaking out, but our voices are going unheard. But thanks to recording artists Big Boi and Mary J. Blige's new song "Sumthin's Gotta Give" as well as Nas' hit song, "Hero," the power of our pain has become a public issue. America takes on the Hip Hop community from the language to the dress code, but there is never much talk of the positive messages in some songs and the bravery of such artists to use America's gift of free speech to address the realities of the United States. So take a bow Hip Hop and R&B and continue to spread the message derived from the pains of the American people.
