Welcome Aboard

Welcome to the Urban Train. This is its first stop on a long journey of Hip Hop. My name is Dan and I’ll be your driver for the ride.
What’s Urban Train about and what sets it apart from other Hip Hop sources? Well, I’ll chug along through all facets of Hip Hop and Urban culture. For all you insane Hip Hop nuts – and I know you crazy critters are out there - you’d be acquainted with the four elements of Hip Hop: MCing, DJing, Breakdancing, and Graffiti, but Urban Train is much more than that.
Hip Hop culture has influenced society like alcohol does driving. From its shabby beginnings in The Bronx to the global sensation that has brought us cultural icons such as Missy Elliot, Biggie, Dave Chappelle and Tupac; there’s no denying that the culture has taken over.
I’ll also be taking a look at urban fashion, bling bling, and the society that Hip Hop has meticulously engrained into locations around the world. You might be asking yourself, “How the hell is he gonna do all that?” Well my answer to you is, “With time and effort baybeeh, time and effort.”
Do you trust me yet? Eh, I didn’t think so. How about I tell you a little about myself? This will be quick. There are two things I love in life (other than women): music and writing. I’m studying a media degree and hoping to be a journalist. On the side, I produce music and am learning more about it each and every day.
Hopefully that’s cleared a few things up. If not, just read my stuff and laugh AT me instead of WITH me. I’m used to it anyway. – Dan sheds a small and salty tear –.
So to sum Urban Train up, it’s all about Hip Hop; it’s all about urbanisation; and most importantly, it’s all about life.
Take care and peace out…
PS: Kudos to Gwen for the urbanlicious banner; mortal sin is the fattiest cake in history.
