Not so Diddy anymore

Sean Combs, the richest rap artist in the world, will change his name AGAIN.
When I first heard the news I wondered what the new name would be. Diddy Dumpling? Diddy Bear, DJ Puffmaster Flex?
Some of his past names include: Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy and Diddy. Does he really need another name change? Well it’s not his choice.
Combs has been sued by a small-time, British music producer known as ‘Diddy’. Richard Dearlove, as his dodgy birth certificate would say, has sued under a law that protects commercial interest from unfair competition.
Dearlove claimed to be “Gutted” when he discovered that P. Diddy dropped the ‘P’ from his, already ridiculous, name.
Here’s a little more of what ‘Diddy’ Dearlove said:
"I started getting emails from Puerto Rican girls asking if they could be in my video and people were asking me to look at their clothing line."
Dearlove has gone under the ‘Diddy’ alias since 1992. Combs agreed to pay STG100,000 ($A248,000) in legal costs and STG10,000 ($A24,800) in damages after losing the lawsuit. He is not allowed to use the name in Britain though can do so anywhere else.
The artist formally known as ‘Diddy’ built a hip hop empire with his ‘Bad Boy’ Record label. He’s also released a clothing label entitled ‘Sean Jean’.
Whatever the case, the implications of another name change won’t do him any good.
Take care and peace out...
