"Defining Tax"
April 2nd 2009 18:48
Today, I will start a series of topics that seem very comical to me. Each topic comes from what we have been taught to believe is the normal way of life.
Today's Topic: What is a tax????
I know what we have been taught to believe, but honestly, what is a tax? America is called the land of the FREE, but there's nothing free in this country for the citizens of America. Fact 1: You go to work to complete labor to have the necessities that God has provided us with; which are food, water, and shellter as well as our "wants" that the world has to offer. Now is this logical that we are paying for water that is generally controlled by the city in which we live? The city is in turn controlled by a system that is a part of the government for whom we have to pay taxes. Huh??? We ride on pothole-filled and buckled roads daily that wear down our automobiles, we can't forget that money is running short for medicare, and educating the youth has been the least of the government's concern for some time now, so what is a tax and what has all the taxes paid in paid for? Fact 2: You open a business that you have to pay taxes for while the employees pay taxes to complete labor to keep the business in business.... Huh??? Ok people, you pay taxes on land that YOU own. Does any of this seem logical? If it does then you enjoy riding over potholes, you enjoy that people around you are being denied medical assistance because we live in a country that doesn't provide free medical assistance, you enjoy children being deprived a good education, and you must enjoy the fact that you are paying taxes on everything you purchase, on everything you own, and everytime that you've worked to prevent all these things from happening.
